15 years and over 375,000 and it continues to run beautifully. I change the oil about every 6,000 miles and that's abour it. If i keep it a few more months, I will probably purchase 4 new tires. It is currently on it's third set, yes, you read this correctly. This truck does't even wear out tires. Other that one front wheel bearing and the catalylic converters, it has been wonderful. Can't say enough good about it.…
Love affair

At 151k miles I love my truck more now than ever. I test drove a 2018 the other day to find that my 2006 STILL drives like a new one in every facet. I have taken extremely good care of my WORK truck, and I get compliments on it all the time, people are floored at my mileage and age of truck, paint is still perfect. Seats and interior still look new. I clean my engine twice a year , still looks new. I've had a few low cost issues around 115k , but the last 35k have been free of anything. I could go on and on about this truck. One note, these trucks from 2005-2008 had an issue with the radiator leaking into the transmission causing transmission failure. I was lucky as my radiator was replaced in time. I blew out a transmission line at 115k and noticed slippage. I made the decision to drive it 20 miles to nearest Nissan dealer where it was quickly repaired. No damage whatsoever to the transmission. Changed the fluid for the second time at 141k. I have overloaded the truck bed as recently as 4 months ago, pushing the limits by far and this transmission is STill perfect. By far the best truck for the money or not.…
My 9th Nissan (?)

I've owned several Nissans and this is my 2nd truck, starting in 1980 (when it was Datsun). I've never had any serious (engine, transmission, gear/rear end) problems with any of these vehicles.
I had a 1998 Chevy S-10 with 150,000 miles on it when I decided to buy a new truck. I looked at the Nissan, Chevy Colorado (new one), Toyota Tacoma, etc. This truck fit me. It has a nice but firm ride. Yet it doesn't feel like a truck, although it is. It has nice appointments, at least for me. All power accessories, the XM radio. I've never had to use the jump seats in back and I've never hauled too much in the bed of the truck. I don't tow anything so I don't know how the towing would be.…
