2021 Nissan Titan PRO-4X Off Road Review Post

The mountains are calling - are you ready to go? With the 2021 Nissan Titan PRO-4X’s off road capabilities, you certainly will be. Maus Nissan of Crystal River shares what you can expect with this ultimate adventurer.

Starting at $27,190 MSRP, the 2021 Nissan Titan PRO-4X’s solid lineup of performance features will get any job done. Towing up to 6,290lbs, payload up to 1,020lbs and 310 horsepower that will take you through the woods and over to Grandma’s house in a flash. All PRO-4Xs come standard with an electronic locking rear differential, Dana rear axle and exclusively developed Bilstein® shocks that maintain stability, even in extreme driving situations. Underneath, steel skid plates cover and protect the fuel tank and 4x4 transfer case, keeping them tucked in and out of harm’s way.

Inside that transfer case, the Frontier’s four-wheel drive system can shift on the fly from two- wheel drive, four-wheel drive high or four-wheel drive low to help off road enthusiasts achieve their perfect journey. Grit meets technology with the available Around View Monitor. It is automatically activated when shifted into four-wheel drive low, giving drivers a better look at tough obstacles on the road ahead. Downhill assist can facilitate a smoother ride after you’ve had your fun but let that engine sing a bit by turning off traction control and enjoying the ride. Safety features like roof-mounted curtain supplemental airbags and Zone Body construction with front and rear crumple zones will keep you safe when the adrenaline takes over.

They say to never judge a book by its cover, but we don’t think that counts for car buying. The 17” aluminum alloy off-road wheels are gleaming and ready to test out those mud and snow rated all-terrain tires. Red tow hooks and running boards give the PRO-4X a dash of pizazz with functionality. The Lava Red color allows them to be seen easily and matches the distinctive PRO-4x badging found throughout the cabin. The digital gauges offer a quick read of what off road mode you are in while also connecting the available Nissan Navigation system with NissanConnect compatibility. Don’t forget about the twin 110-volt, 400-watt power outlets – one in the bed! – to keep you plugged in, if that’s your thing.

The Nissan Titan PRO-4X is a dark horse. A smooth and controlled ride that is bursting with bold spirit. Will you tame her or let her run free? The decision is yours. Visit Maus Nissan of Crystal River to take a test drive or call us at (352) 592-6287 to learn more.
