Sneak Peek 2022 Nissan Z Proto Post

Are you the type of person who peeks at their presents beforehand? Well, this sneak peek is right up your alley. Almost a year after the prototype car was revealed, Nissan plans to finally release the production version on its YouTube channel on August 17, 2021. If you can’t handle the suspense of the 2022 Nissan Z Proto release (neither can we, frankly!) then read on to find out what Maus Nissan knows so far about this highly anticipated arrival.

The new Z will feature a twin turbocharged 3.0-liter V-6 engine that we predict to produce around 400 horsepower. A six-speed transmission is standard but there’s also an option for an automatic gearbox. Inside, we’re planning for a throwback three-gauge pod on top of the dashboard, a 12.3” digital gauge cluster, a large infotainment system and seating decorated with vibrant stitching and piping.

Expect the exterior to be smooth for sure. Finished in dark gray and silver with chrome trim woven throughout the grille. The style is anticipated to include slightly larger headlights, different wheels and a rear decklid spoiler. The Z moniker on the c-pillar also returns, a big deal for the Japanese automotive giant who has applied the designation to its performance vehicles since the 1970s.

We’ll just be over here constantly hitting the refresh button until August. This beauty is expected to arrive by the end of this year and start around $40,000. Mark your calendars or better yet, talk to one of the Maus team members about ordering yours. Give us a call at (352) 592-6287 today!
