2021 Nissan Sentra vs. 2021 Honda Civic

Built for the everyday commute, sedans offer the space and efficiency drivers need to get around Homosassa Springs, Lecanto, and Citrus Hills, FL. The market is full of sedan options, but there are two that stand out from the rest - the Nissan Sentra and Honda Civic.

But which one is right for you? To help you decide, the team at Maus Nissan of Crystal River has put together an in-depth comparison of the 2021 Nissan Sentra and 2021 Honda Civic.

Starting MSRP

For starters, let's talk value. Nissan's mantra for the 2021 Sentra is that it "refuses to compromise" and that certainly holds true for the competitive MSRP which starts at $19,460. That base price includes class-executive tech and the most standard safety features in its class.

Simply put, you will get a lot more for your money with the Sentra than you will with any of its competitors, especially the Honda Civic and its $21,050 starting MSRP.

The 2021 Nissan Sentra is a striking vehicle with reimagined, attractive features like a sleek, aerodynamic silhouette, a V-Motion grille, and 18" alloy wheels. With available pointed LED headlights, a black glass roof, and stretched fog lamps on select trim levels, the Sentra has what it takes to stand out from the pack.

Compared to the Nissan Sentra, the Honda Civic falls short in the sleek and modern category and features a lackluster clamshell hood with side accents that angle uniformly towards the rear.

Interior & Infotainment

Even though the Sentra is considered compact, it comfortably seats up to five passengers with 60/40 split rear seats and features Best-in-Class Front Legroom with 42.5 inches of space. The Sentra offers an available 8-inch touchscreen that sits over a trio of round air vents and the interface for the climate management system. Other notable features in the Nissan Sentra include:

  • Apple CarPlay®
  • Android Auto™
  • Class-Exclusive Type C-USB Ports
  • Streaming Audio
  • Available Bose Premium Audio System

Unfortunately, the interior of the 2021 Honda Civic is not as impressive as the Sentra. Its front legroom falls shorts offering just 42.3 inches of space. The available touchscreen maxes out at seven inches and is mounted in between rectangular air vents and manual controls for the AC system. Type-C USB ports are not an available option with the Civic.

Safety Features

Like the rest of Nissan's line up, the Sentra is loaded with tons of advanced safety features, some of which include:

  • Standard Rear Automatic Braking
  • Rear Cross-Traffic Alert
  • High-Beam Assist
  • Advanced Airbags
  • Easy-Fill Tire Alert
  • Blind Spot Warning
  • Available Intelligent Around View Monitor

While the Honda Civic also offers an abundance of safety features, Rear Automatic Braking, Blind Spot Alert, and Intelligent Around View Monitor features are not available. Rear-Cross Traffic Alert is available, but only in premium trims.
